I’d imagine it gets a little old for all you blog readers out there when I begin each new entry with some variant of “Wow, what a wonderful time I had at this session!” but really, it’s so true! I feel so very blessed to have a job as a children and family portrait photographer, taking pictures of beautiful little (and sometimes big) people, playing with them, making them laugh, and generally having a good time.
These boys were at first a bit wary of me and my photographer’s bag o’ tricks, but the old “whack yourself in the head with a stick” routine loosened them right up. And what a treat it was for me to venture out of my own personal frilly, pink-hued homeworld and play with BOYS.
Check out this little man–isn’t he a doll? That grin already has the girls a flocking, can you imagine when he’s a teen?
Mr. Middle Brother was the daredevil of the bunch–check out his flying leap! I’m just glad he didn’t start pelting me with those walnuts he’s got clenched in his hands in the first few shots . . .

I could tell big brother liked to take care of his younger bros–what a great kid! He showed me a thing or two about real exploring.

These last two images are my favorites from the session–taken at the beginning and end of our time together. Really, I could not be more lucky in my outside job.

I’ve got some Mother’s Day Mini Sessions in the works–stay tuned to the Jani Photography Facebook Fanpage for the first chance to schedule your session!
