I had the pleasure of working with this lovely family last summer when they were all together and was thrilled when they hired me again this summer to record some of their family time. Haven’t these girls grown? They were just as adorable this summer as last, and the change in location to a spot up the canyon in Three Rivers was just lovely. I see many more sessions at this gorgeous location in my future!

Goodness, what a treat these little dolls were! Since they were already seven weeks old, I was quite concerned that these adorable little twins would not be very easy to photograph. Older newborns are notoriously difficult–most seem to “wake up” around two weeks and refuse to curl, sleep, or stay posed for any length of time. And with two babies to settle and soothe, we really had our work cut out for us. Happily, these girls gave us a lovely combination of wide awake and sleeping time with beautiful results. Enjoy!
There seems to have been a boom in baby boys lately–I haven’t photographed a newborn baby girl since my own was born 18 months ago! But I’ll take all these sleepy, adorable baby boys I can get. With the wrinkles and the curling and the sweet new baby smell, I think these sessions are truly my favorite to do.
This little guy has been dubbed “baby Rice” by his youngest big brother (seen here) and is really the sweetest thing. With three great big brothers to join and his loving parents, this guy is clearly blessed.
Can you hear that newborn cry and smell that sweet fresh baby smell? I can just looking at these images. I can tell this baby boy’s parents and siblings had been counting down the days until this little one joined their family. Sweet and easy as can be, he was a real treat to photograph–he slept like a champ the entire two hours I was at his house! Those lips, that little scrunchy nose, and those adorable elf ears . . . *sigh*. At 10 days old he was the perfect age for his closeup.
